In a tentative conclusion, let me add that while I have no absolute certainties (but that love and seeking knowledge are the most important things), I do believe that will and intention
and probably the complex principle of “highest good of all” (involving less visible “higher” aspects and players in life and the universe) are paramount in the process of trying or actually reaching any specific goal. Both will and intention automatically include visualization, imagining, phantasizing and thinking about your
desired goal(s). Believing in the principle of the “highest good” being served on the other hand facilitates patience and acceptance of the status quo (not all our desires may serve the highest good of all in the longer term [I
define the highest good of all as synonymous with the highest good of the individual]). Also, a number of spiritual teachers have said that manifestation is speeded up or made possible by giving thanks in advance for the
desired outcome having been manifested (Neale Donald Walsch writes re effective prayer, “Don’t supplicate - appreciate.”) (I often add “if in accordance with the highest good of all”).
