Cancer/Disease and Chakras

... there is nothing sudden about most illnesses... like rain, we see clouds gathering, but we are sure they will go away. Then when a bolt of lightning strikes us in the head, we are totally surprised. ... So let's take the guesswork out of it... Let's see what happens when we do not honor ourselves, when we let our chakras and auras go to "hell in a handbasket", when we fail to heed the call of Soul and live as we know we "should".
...Let's Review Quickly How Our Chakras Work
The energy field (otherwise known as the aura) that surrounds, penetrates, and binds the body-mind-spirit is in a perpetual state of activity. It is constantly in motion, continuously taking in and sending out vibrating energy waves through openings in the aura (otherwise known as chakras).
The human energy field processes signals of energy created by one's actions, thoughts, and emotions as well as by one's environment and lifestyle choices (exercise, food, sleep, etc). When someone thinks and chooses in a manner that is consistent with love and with their agreed upon path in life, they experience abundant energy and vibrant health.
It is the ability to love that keeps the energy chakras open and flowing. So when one thinks and chooses from fear, power, lack, negativity, or selfishness, the flow of energy is blocked. Dis-ease then occurs in the body-mind due to imbalances and blockages in the energy field resulting from how little one has honored the needs of body-mind-spirit and respected their path.
These blockages deprive the area of the body-mind being fed by the chakra by restricting the flow of energy to below what is necessary for good health. Since there is more than one chakra, energy will continue to reach the total body-mind despite the blockages. However, the areas around the blocked chakra slowly get diseased. Such blockages do not occur evenly or randomly across the body. They occur in the chakra associated with "the area of life" where the individual is not acting in a manner that is consistent with love and/or their path in life.
Persistent blockages manifest as problems which can be as minor as infrequent pain and as major as cancer. To truly heal illness usually requires a life change ultimately leading to a personal life more connected to the core of one's being. It leads us to that deeper part of ourselves called the Higher Self. And when we refuse to be led, the consequences can become severe and dramatic. We descend into our own personal hell... and we build it brick by brick, one day at a time.
And So As We Believe and Act, So Shall We Become
#1: NEGLECTING THE "ROOT CHAKRA"

Just because someone incarnates into a male or female body, it does not make them a man or a woman. To become a man or a woman means embracing their body's gender with a glad heart while being grateful for the lessons it will bring. Yet, in past lives, most of us usually develop a preference for one gender over the other.
When we find that we are either consistently "wishing and hoping" or "acting as if" we were the opposite sex, we are telling our bodies to reject those gender specific parts of ourselves that "do not belong" to us. This dis-ease with our own gender, if not confronted and resolved, will result in sexual disorders.
Similarly, if we find ourselves with partners who reject or belittle how we honor our sexuality and we do nothing to "defend ourselves", this lack of self love will also be interpreted as us rejecting our own sexuality and opens us to disease.
#2: NEGLECTING THE "SACRAL CHAKRA"

Remember when you were young and had lofty dreams of "what you were going to be when you grew up"? If you are like most people, somewhere along the way, you look up and realize that not only have you failed to achieve your dreams but that your life is a nightmare. Who grows up wanting to be a "corporate kiss ass", a "back stabber", a "spineless yes person", a "hanger on for retirement"?
We have all come to Earth to create our lives as we go about unwinding our past life karma. Often we struggle in the tides of karma, get weary, and are dragged under into dis-eases that reflect our "karmically lazy" choices. The weariness manifests as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. The chronic indecision manifests as liver disorders while anger at or disappointment in ourselves hits the kidneys hard.
#3: NEGLECTING THE "SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA"
Related Diseases: Stomach Cancer, Gastric or Peptic Ulcers, Anorexia, Bulimia
The dynamic of the universe is this… we are all individual sparks of God, all connected, just all separate at the same time. This creates a natural tension between our need to honor our own needs versus honoring the needs of others. Almost all of us come into this life with a strong tendency from past lives either to usually put others ahead of ourselves or usually put ourselves ahead of others.
When we always sacrifice ourselves for others, we eat away at our own self esteem by caring too much about other's opinions and expectations. This eating away at ourselves often manifests quite literally in our physiology as stomach cancer and gastric or peptic ulcers. On the other hand, when we put our needs ahead of others, we may put undue attention on ourselves that can take life threatening turns as in the case of eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia.
These eating disorders are often the result of an individual's desire to control their bodies because they feel out of control in all other areas of their life. Ironically, those who end up starving their bodies into submission gain the ultimate control by focusing others on their own self induced struggle between life and death.
#4: NEGLECTING THE "HEART CHAKRA"
Related Diseases: Heart Attack, Stroke, Congestive Heart Failure
It is no wonder that Heart Disease is the Number 1 killer worldwide. Human hearts were designed to receive and give love unconditionally. Love is as vital a nutrient to our heart as anything we eat or drink or do for exercise. Since we all have come to the Earth to grow in our ability to give and receive love, it is not surprising, that when we are unable to do so, we develop problems in our hearts.
Usually, this is caused by our inability to love ourselves. Since we all are constantly picking up so much "negative programming" from our families, our friends, our schools, and our society, that it is no wonder we fail to love ourselves. For if we are not as successful as Bill Gates or as gorgeous as a Barbie doll or having emerged from past lives as strong as Hercules, we inevitably feel "less". It is long held feelings of internal dis-ease in our minds that manifest as disease in our hearts.
#5: NEGLECTING THE "THROAT CHAKRA"
Related Diseases: Throat Cancer, Thyroid, TMJ, Teeth Problems
Speaking up for ourselves is the most effective way of letting others know of our wants and our needs. It saves time and energy and takes the guesswork out of others interpreting our grunts and groans. It was the reason that language evolved.
Speaking up for ourselves is not just telling others mundane things like "pass the ketchup". It involves "carving out and defending" a sacred space for ourselves. As in telling others when they have hurt us, especially as to why and how they have treated us when it is unacceptable and has violated our sacred space.
Often when we consistently fail to speak up for ourselves when we have been hurt, we are unconsciously repeating disempowering patterns from past lives. Yet these unspoken words stick in our throat chakras blocking the energy until they get so shut down that they become easy targets for disease. ...
#8: NEGLECTING THE "PHYSICAL (MATTER) BODY"
Related Diseases: Skin Cancer, Bone Diseases, Arthritis, Muscle Disorders
It is most often our "skin and bones" that show the "years and mileage" that we have undergone in our physical existence. Take Skin Cancer which often strikes those "trapped" in life situations that have been "eating away at them" for years: it is the simple outer manifestation of the inner pain. Or Bone Diseases which often strike those with unhealed past lives gnawing away at them deep inside.
Or Arthritis which is the outer manifestation of long-standing, inflexible patterns of being: whether it been rigid thoughts, unyielding beliefs, or disempowering actions. And finally, Muscle Disorders, which relates to one's ability to "experience life as a joyous dance". After love, regular doses of joy are essential to one's well-being. "All work and no play" makes Jane / John not only a dull girl / boy, it eventually makes them one prone to major diseases which will put them out of their misery.
#9: NEGLECTING THE "ASTRAL (EMOTIONAL) BODY"
Related Diseases: Self Destructive Behavior, Addiction, Drugs, Risky Sex
Of course, there are many that do not wait for a friendly disease to come their way. Their emotions drive them to self-destructive behaviors designed to end their pain. Many like to bring on death by building their coffin one nail at a time.
They "ramp it down" by smoking (which clouds their view of their problems), drinking (which numbs their pain), or medicating (let's be honest: prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse is far more prevalent than hard core drug use).
They "ramp it up" by reckless spending (which leads to death more often than is reported), risky sex (which leads to disease or to "Mr.
Goodbar"), or extreme sports (let's be honest: the news is littered with stories of those who "tragically" died young). Either way self-destructive emotions are the true cause of death.

The Get-Out-of-Hell-for-FREE-Card
If you have recognized your disease above - and how you have participated in its creation - you have taken the first step toward freeing yourself from your own personal hell. There is only one way to get out of hell for good and that is to accept that you are totally responsible for all that has happened to you. When you have learned all that your illness has to teach you then you can become free from it.
As long as you think that it has happened to you "by accident", that it is "random", or it is a "cruel joke played on you by the God and/or the universe", you will never get out of hell. If you hold such beliefs but have failed to get out of hell on your own, why not try accepting responsibility for your problems?
Your problems are all that you have to lose.

Life force and its impediments through negative thoughts and feelings (incl. introduction to Reiki)
In keeping with Barbara Brennan’s scientific discoveries re the human aura and its influence on health and disease, here is a summary of the energetic make-up of our being and an introduction to the healing system called Reiki. Excerpted and compiled by Healing Cancer Naturally © 2004 from texts found on various websites and apparently originally published by William Lee Rand in “Reiki, the Healing Touch”.
Ki - The Life Force
The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is connected directly to our quality of health has been part of the
wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. The existence of this ”life force energy” has been verified by recent scientific experiments, and medical doctors are considering the role it plays in the
functioning of the immune system and the healing process in humans.

Ki means the same as Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit, and Ti or Ki in Hawaiian. It has also been called odic force, orgone, and bioplasma. It has been given many other names by the various cultures that have been aware of it.
Ki is the life force. It is also called the vital life force or the universal life force. This is the nonphysical energy that animates all living things. As long as something is alive, it has life force circulating through it and surrounding it; when it dies, this life force departs. If your life force is low, or if there is a restriction in its flow, you will be more vulnerable to illness. When it is high, and flowing freely, you are less likely to get sick. Life force plays an important role in everything we do. It animates the body and also is the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts and spiritual life.
Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.
[So] we are alive because [this] life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura.
The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force. This diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.
The Chinese place great importance on the life force or what they call Chi. They have studied it for thousands of years and have discovered there are many different kinds of Chi. The ”Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine” which is over 4,000 years old, lists thirty-two different kinds of Chi or Ki.
Ki is used by martial artists in their physical training and mental development. It is used in meditative breathing exercises called Pranayama, and by the shamans of all cultures for divination, psychic awareness, manifestation and harmony. Ki is the nonphysical energy used by all healers. Ki is present all around us and can be accumulated and guided by the mind.
Do All Healers Use Reiki?
All healers use life force or Ki, but not all use Reiki. Reiki is a special kind of life force that can only be channeled by someone that has been attuned to it. It is possible that some people are born with Reiki or have gotten it some other way. However, most healers who have not received the Reiki attunement from a Reiki Master are not using Reiki but another kind of life force. People who already do healing work consistently report an increase of at least fifty percent in the strength of their healing energies after taking the Reiki training.
This was verified for me when I first began teaching Reiki. There were two clairvoyant healers I knew who had highly developed abilities. They could easily see the life force flowing through a person's body, as well as see the aura and chakras. They could also communicate with a person's guides and Higher Self. They were adept at moving negative psychic energy out of the body as well as channeling healing energies. In my twenty years of metaphysical work, they were the most accurate and effective psychic healers I had met. They told me later they had doubted there was anything I was teaching they couldn't already do, but that they took the Reiki training anyway, simply to support me in my new work. After the attunement, they were amazed at the difference they could feel between the healing energies they had been using and Reiki. They said the Reiki energies were more powerful and of a much higher frequency. They noted also that Reiki didn't have to be guided like the other healing energies they were using, and that the Reiki energies began flowing without having to enter an altered state. They also indicated the attunement process itself was a powerful healing experience, releasing restrictions relating to their healing work they had unknowingly acquired when they were healers in past lives. They were very pleased they had taken the class.
Reiki Can Never Cause Harm
Because Reiki is guided by the God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what a person needs and will adjust itself to
create the effect that is appropriate for them. One never need worry about whether to give Reiki or not. It is always helpful. In addition, because the practitioner does not direct the healing and does not
decide what to work on, or what to heal, the practitioner is not in danger of taking on the karma of the client. Because the practitioner is not doing the healing, it is also much easier for the ego to stay out
of the way and allow the presence of God to clearly shine through.

The world’s largest medicineless hospital’s successes include tumours dissolving in minutes via chi
The Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Center

China boasts “the world’s largest medicineless” hospital: patients are called students here and treatment consists solely in the strengthening of the students’s belief in the healing power of chi or life force energy, as well as the daily practice of easy-to-follow ancient Qigong movements to bring healing energy from the universe to each individual, complemented by the emission of chi from teachers to students. The students‘ belief is built by listening to testimonials of recovered patients (who often become teachers) and learning about chi and its healing effects.
Tens of thousands of documented healings over a period of eight years have been collected (including miraculous recoveries from “incurable” diseases such as cancer, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, severe depression, paralysis, and systemic lupus).

Addendum 7/2006: During a recent internet search I’ve come across the statement that the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Center was closed a few years ago. If this information is correct, I would suggest to those who might have wished to visit this hospital to simply opt for a course in Chi Kung [Qigong] Therapy which should be available in a number of places, or even easier and less expensive, buying a DVD with instructions on how to practice qigong exercises in the comfort of your own home. Three Amazing Cancer Healing Stories Thanks to Life Force Energy

A Chain of Miracles
In 1972, Teacher Lin Shua-Hua underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor in her throat. The tumor reappeared five years later, spreading to her esophagus. It was so painful that she couldn't eat solid food. In 1983, she underwent further surgery and lost her voice. Seven years later, the tumor reappeared and this time it was malignant, and she became immobilized and had to be fed intravenously. Eventually she weighed only seventy-nine pounds, a mere skeleton.
"When the doctors told my husband that there was nothing more they could do for me, I gave up all hope of survival. I merely laid in bed, in terrible pain, waiting to die.
"So when my son suggested that I learn ChiLel [=chi therapy; Chi-Lel is a trademarked version of Zhineng Qigong] I was in no mood to listen. However, my son was so persistent that I finally agreed to try it. At first I needed three people to carry me to ChiLel practice, but after twenty days I was able to go there by myself. When my stomach began to hurt a lot my teacher reassured me that it was a good development, and that I was responding to chi. Incredibly, within three months I had regained my health! When I went back to my doctors for a checkup they couldn't believe their eyes, for I had survived against all odds."
"Why was your son so persistent in persuading you to learn ChiLel?"
"Because he himself had been cured of a strange illness. He used to wear gloves to school because his hands had many tiny flesh particles hanging from them. But after practicing ChiLel for fifteen days, his hands were cured."
"In addition, my son told me that our ChiLel teacher had also been saved by ChiLel. In 1986 when Lao-shi came to our city, three quarters of her heart was not functioning and her skin was almost black. After listening to Lao-shi, she began to study ChiLel and recovered completely."
Indeed, as I was to encounter again and again at the Center, a chain of miracles had occurred.
If It Disappeared By Itself It Couldn't Have Been Cancer
"Four years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and told that I had only three months to live. I cried and couldn't eat for three days."
"Did your doctor give you any advice?"
"Yes, he told me to eat whatever I wanted and to rest well."
Seeing I was puzzled with her answer, Ms. Wu continued, "They couldn't operate on me because I had heart problems and anemia. I would surely die on the operating table.
Furthermore, I couldn't undergo chemotherapy because my body wouldn't take the strain. Imagine, even before I had cancer I needed to rest ten times in order to climb five flights of stairs. I was finished. But even facing death, I couldn't accept that my son would be a little orphan in the world.
So I was desperate for a miracle. When someone mentioned that ChiLel could help my condition, I immediately went to see a ChiLel master. He emitted chi to me and I responded well. I saw the light and took up ChiLel. By the end of 1992 I was cured, and could climb five floors without resting or panting.
When I returned to my doctor for a checkup, he was surprised to see me still alive. He confirmed that I was cancer free but said, 'If it disappeared by itself, it couldn't have been a cancer.' Yet at the same time he denied that he had misdiagnosed my case. I guess sometimes it's difficult to face facts when they are contradictory. But I don't care because either way I defeated a life-threatening illness.
My whole family has taken up ChiLel. By doing ChiLel, my son's intelligence has improved. He has jumped from ranking as one of the last two students in his class to one of the top. ChiLel is really wonderful."
Entering the Back Door to Recovery
With her smooth skin and fair complexion, Ms. Chen looked much younger than her age. Speaking in a soft voice, she described her heroic struggle against disease.
"As long as I can remember I have been fighting diseases. Besides suffering from diabetes and kidney disease, I had bladder stones in 1960, and a liver tumor in 1963. Just when I thought I'd had enough of surgeries, my thyroid gland became cancerous and required an operation in 1977. But the cancer didn't go away after this surgery and, a few years later, I underwent a second operation."
"So this time the cancer left for good?"
"That's what I thought at the time, but unfortunately, the cancer reappeared three years later. The doctors were now afraid to operate on me anymore and my cancer continued to grow as nothing was done about it for another three years. Finally, another hospital suggested that I undergo a third operation."
"Did you follow this advice?"
"It was very tempting because someone was at least trying to take care of the cancer instead of letting it eat me alive. But the doctors weren't sure if another surgery would help because it was likely that the cancer had spread to my bones. I couldn't move my left hand at all and my right hand only to chest level. I couldn't lay down to sleep because my back hurt and gradually, I lost my speech too. Finally, the doctors predicted that I had only two months to live."
"Did you cry upon hearing such dreadful news?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I had no more tears to shed."
"So you had given up?"
"Not quite. I was used to bad news. So when my sister, who was practicing medicine in Beijing, invited me to live with her for my final days, I jumped at the chance. Once in Beijing, I saw hundreds of people practicing ChiLel and became curious to learn it."
"How could you do ChiLel if you couldn't even move your hands?"
"That's what I wondered at first. But my teacher told me that I should move as much as I could with my body and use my mind to gather life energy from the universe. I believed him and practiced diligently. Gradually, I regained my speech and could take care of myself."
"So you recovered completely and lived happily ever after?"
"Not yet. After a year's practice, I decided that I was well enough to go to the Center for further training. However, I was turned away by the Center."
"Are you kidding? I've been told that the Center is a place of mercy."
"Yes, but it has a rule that anyone who is severely ill should have an accompanying family member as a caretaker. They told me that the Center was a self-help place and students need to help themselves to get meals, take baths, and so on."
"Did you then go home and bring your sister with you?"
"No, I felt I had already burdened my sister too much. Fortunately my ChiLel teacher, who just happened to be at the Center, persuaded the registrar to admit me through the back door.
But when I told my teacher that I wanted to register as an instructor trainee and not as a student, his mouth dropped. 'Are you crazy? Even healthy people sometimes have difficulty getting through this vigorous training program.' I continued to insist so finally he gave in and admitted me to the program through another back door.
Once in the program, I believed that I was already a healthy person and followed the routine as much as possible. Although the teachers didn't know my weak condition when they admitted me, they soon found out when I had three near-death experiences during the first month of training. Fearing that I would die in their class, these teachers very much regretted my admission to the program.
However, I was silently and stubbornly fighting my diseases during every training session. Each time I fell down, I would get back up on my feet; when I fell again, I would get up again. With tears and sweat, I would hang on to the practice without giving up. Finally, my teachers got the message that I was striving to live by working myself to death. They cheered me on. So with a strong will to live, I survived triumphantly. Not only did I win my battle against cancer, I also gained certification as an instructor. That was three years ago. This time I've come back to train more."
"Would you recommend people with severe illness to go through the same program?"
"No. My teacher was probably right in saying that I was crazy. People should go through the front door to learn ChiLel."
I guess that anyone who is crazy enough to enter the back door deserves healing.
