Ping Shuai Gong — a simple Qigong exercise

There are many types of Qi Gong exercises which appear to benefit health and promote healing — from diabetes and Parkinson's all the way to fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, anxiety, stroke, cancer and many illnesses in-between. This has been shown in 1000+ scientific studies incl. 200+ meta-analyses (which combine the results of multiple studies addressing similar research questions and which are considered the highest form of knowledge in science).

Many types of Qi Gong involve learning numerous steps and require much time to get them right. There are however some which are easy to learn. One of them is Ping Shuai Gong (Swing Arm Exercise), a simple qi gong practice owed to Master Feng-Shan Li, the founder of the Mei-Men Qi-Gong Center in Taiwan.

Reportedly, some cancer patients have healed simply by exercising Ping Shuai Gong. Master Feng-Shan Li himself has reported that Ping Shuai Gong has improved or put into remission many ailments and medical conditions. These include skin rashes, mini strokes, backache, joint pain, diseases of heart, liver, kidney, lung etc., as well as many cancer successes in Taiwan (to corroborate that qi gong has (at least) beneficial effects for cancer patients, do a PubMed search for qigong meta-analysis cancer).

Ping Shuai Gong's increasing popularity is shown by the fact that meanwhile the practice has spread to numerous countries.

A simpe exercise accessible to anyone

Ping Shuai Gong can be practiced by anyone (including wheelchair-bound people or those with knee problems). For health maintenance, it is recommended to exercise 10 minutes at a time three times a day. Those needing to recover from severe illness should do 30 minutes at a time.

According to Master Feng-Shan Li, the first ten minutes of arm swinging will activate your basic circulation, while the second ten minutes will start working on your internal organs and positively affect your brain. In the third ten minutes, some of the illness concealed in your body will be uncovered. Over time, the renewed circulation of blood and qi achieved will create balance and harmony in your body while the hidden former sickness will naturally be cured..

Note: While practicing Ping Shuai Gong, it is important to wear loose and comfortable clothing and no heels, allowing both feet to rest flat on the ground. Swing gently and relaxedly. While swinging forward, avoid going above shoulder height, but swing backwards as far as possible without overexerting yourself.
